COOPERATION WITH YONSEI UNIVERSITY: MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED
Marat Mamurov, Head of the Department of Science, Education and Innovation at the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, and Dr. Shavkatjon Azizov, Director of the National Biopharmaceutical Research Institute (NBPRI), led a delegation on a visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy of the prestigious Yonsei University in the Republic of Korea.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of the university’s In Vivo Research Center. The parties exchanged views on modern preclinical research aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of new medicines and pharmaceutical products, as well as on conducting studies using advanced scientific approaches and in accordance with international standards.
The meeting focused on prospects for developing scientific research and innovation projects in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors, establishing specialist exchange programs, sharing scientific expertise, and implementing joint research projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Biopharmaceutical Research Institute and the Faculty of Pharmacy of Yonsei University.
The agreement will create new opportunities to further strengthen Uzbekistan’s capacity in modern biopharmaceutical and preclinical research, introduce international best practices, expand scientific cooperation, and implement promising joint research projects.
