Computer Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

The Computer Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory leads and directly participates in conducting the following fundamental and applied research activities:

  • In silico modeling of drug compounds (molecular docking);
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based drug design and optimization;
  • Computer simulation of biotechnological processes;
  • Development of pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) models;
  • Analysis of Big Data and omics technologies;
  • In silico prediction of drug toxicity and safety;
  • Integration of clinical and laboratory data;
  • Optimization of locally developed pharmaceuticals and vaccines;
  • Promotion of scientific innovation and training of highly qualified researchers.

The laboratory organizes the implementation of research activities included in the Institute's research agenda, identifies future development priorities in the relevant scientific field, selects appropriate research methods and technologies, and determines effective approaches for solving the scientific and technical tasks assigned to the laboratory.

The laboratory develops annual and long-term research project and development plans related to its scientific direction and submits them to the Institute's administration for approval.

The laboratory supervises the preparation of technical specifications, methodological guidelines, technical and economic feasibility studies, strategic development plans, and other methodological documents aimed at advancing science, technology, and sectors of the national economy within the scope of its activities.

The laboratory identifies research institutes, organizations, universities, and industrial partners that will collaborate in carrying out the planned scientific research projects.
