Synthetic Drug Chemistry Laboratory
Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory
The Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory leads and directly participates in conducting the following fundamental and applied research activities:
- Development and optimization of novel synthetic drug compounds, as well as the development of locally produced original and generic pharmaceuticals;
- Chemical purification of compounds, analytical quality control, and preparation for toxicological and biological evaluation;
- Development of combined and modified drug dosage forms and their integration with nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems.
Strategic objectives of the laboratory:
- To strengthen national pharmaceutical independence;
- To reduce reliance on imported medicines;
- To advance scientific expertise and establish a strong research school in synthetic medicinal chemistry and drug development.
